No one told them to do that. That's just a cop out marketing piece to try and make their greedy a$$ look good indirectly. All they got to do, is keep the price low, and when you havent been on a couple of months or 3 offer you a discount to come back like they currently do. That's Microsoft that is, Sony is for the "ballers"

I do want one of those controllers, so they way I can have specific controller for certain games since I will have to have all of them anyways to make sure my game works on them.
